zz Society has curated a core band especially for this occasion. Designed to represent the evolution of the formative years of the society (think Windy City Jazzmen), the band will be presenting a range of toe-tapping tunes from early traditional through to the swing era (with the odd Latin and quirky ballad thrown in).
The band includes a mix of long-term (even original) and more recent members. As well as including a couple of guest instrumentalists, a big focus of the night will be the inclusion of a number of vocalists, many of whom have performed at the club in recent years.
A highlight of the night will be the finale with the reincarnated TJS Big Band. A core part of the club out at Cabarlah in the 1980’s, this band brings to life the sound of the big band era, with classic numbers as played by Glenn Miller, Count Basie, etc.
There’s nothing like the sound of saxophones, trumpets, trombones and rhythm section playing carefully orchestrated arrangements to stir the soul.

ENTRY: TJS Member $15, Non-members $20. Annual membership of Toowoomba Jazz Society is available on the night.
PARKING: Access the car park off Gipps Street, or there are parks in front of the bowling green in Ball Street, and access via the gate.
ENTRANCE: Up the steps from the car park on the southern side of the building or from the bowling green side. Disabled access ramp on the Western side (Gipps Street) and through the bar.
