Traditional jazz, Latin rhythms, soulful melodies and a touch of contemporary jazz-
funk come together when Dale Robbins & The Jazzerati Gentlemen make their
debut with the Toowoomba Jazz Society.
Led by guitarist Dale Robbins, with keyboardist Chris Hartley as Musical Director, the
group brings together some highly experienced Toowoomba musicians:
Dale Robbins — Guitar
Chris Hartley — Keyboards and Musical Director
Mark Chalmers — Bass
Garry Schulz — Drums
They will be joined by special guests Sean Pregnolato on vocals and guitar, Bob
Adams from the Dale Robbins Band on bass, and Paul Keidge from the Dale
Robbins Band on drums.
Dale has performed with Toowoomba bands since he moved here in 1982 and has
been a jazz-guitar enthusiast for decades. He also leads the successful blues act the
Dale Robbins Band, which has performed throughout Australia and in New Zealand,
the United States and Vietnam.
The Jazzerati Gentlemen’s repertoire remains grounded in the jazz tradition while
embracing Latin, soul and contemporary jazz-funk influences. Expect thoughtful
arrangements, memorable melodies, plenty of rhythmic variety and a funkier edge.
Join us for the band’s first Toowoomba Jazz Society performance and enjoy an
evening of accomplished local musicianship, jazz tradition and infectious groove.
