Jim Miller (1927 – 2012) formed this band over thirty years ago to play the big band charts he had collected during his lifetime. He served during World War 2 and became very interested in the Glen Miller style. Currently, the band still plays some of Jim’s charts but now include music from more modern times as well. A variety of vocalists perform with the band. In 2025, JMBB joined the Toowoomba Municipal Band organisation which now has a number of sub groups. The band is always happy to include new musicians.
